Poverty’s Demise.Org (PDO) aims to alleviate child poverty through the use of an online social and economic empowerment system. Caregivers of impoverished children can utilize the PDO website to communicate the child’s basic living needs and have those needs satisfied by donors in PDO’s unique online community. PDO enables the “haves” in our society to share their economic buying power with the “have-nots” through the use of simple gift certificates and an easy to use online interface. PDO empowers the impoverished by teaching them to manage and develop their own well-being with the assistance of consumer buying power that they never had before.
