Zimmer Preschool / Olam Academy

For 10 years, Zimmer Preschool in Basking Ridge New Jersey has provided a nurturing and enriching academic and Judaic education preparing young children to enter confidently into elementary school with the necessary prerequisite skills, a deeply engrained passion for learning, and trust and self-confidence that they need to succeed in a rigorous academic environment. In response to emphatic requests from parents, we are now extending the success of the Zimmer Preschool and creating an elementary school with the same vision for a compassionate and gently caring educational environment that nurtures passion and creativity through inquiry and student engagement. Olam Academy currently consists of 2 classes, and will be expanding by one grade each year through the 5^th grade. The Olam Academy provides a rigorous educational environment that nurtures the whole child, emphasizing the child’s place within community, collaboration and a global vision. We teach academic skills within the context of real-world and project-based curriculum, integrating all aspects of the child’s development, including intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual. We are preparing our students to succeed and flourish in a the rigorous middle and high school environments of their choosing.Our mission is to create an extraordinary learning environment where children are empowered, nurtured, and guided in reaching their highest potential through skill-building, concept-development, critical thinking, and understanding of self. We inspire children with a sense of awe and responsibility towards self, others and the world around them.
