Window Studio is a neighborhood art center in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn creating a new kind of community art. Window Studio invites passersby and local residents to watch artists at work in the studio on a daily basis, come in to discuss the artwork in progress, and make art themselves; it brings art as an aesthetic experience and a social practice into the context of everyday life. Window Studio offers three core programs – artist residencies, workshops for all ages, and exhibits & events – at affordable or no cost to the public. Be part of the picture!
Window Studio programs are made possible by public funds from the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and from the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, both administered in Kings County by Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC). Additional funding is received from the Puffin Foundation.
Window Studio LLC is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a nonprofit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Window Studio LLC must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” and are tax‐deductible to the extent permitted by law.
