About Us

The mission of the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) is to be a leader in the development of traditional and modern Oriental Medicine as a medical art and science by offering outstanding, academically rigorous, professional programs: to educate practitioners to be effective, compassionate healers, capable of providing high-quality health care to the public and advancing knowledge in the field of Oriental medicine

For more than 35 years, NESA has pioneered innovative and dynamic programs in three key areas: education, research, and community service/ public health. Currently, NESA offers two master’s degree programs, and our graduate students are also eligible for a dual degree in pain management in conjunction with Tufts University School of Medicine. We are also the first OM school designated as a formal research center by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Our faculty-supervised student clinics treat over 30,000 patients annually, many in under-served communities.
