    Located in the Historic Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Cliveden is a National Trust historic site. The house and grounds were the location for the Battle of Germantown during the Revolutionary War, and today the battle is reenacted annually as part of the Revolutionary Germantown Festival. The home of the Chew family for over 200 years, today Cliveden serves as a community center for the exploration of race, history, and memory. To experience Cliveden is to experience the American story, and the struggles for freedom endured by a people. Tours and exhibits tell the fascinating stories of the Chew family and African American history in Philadelphia.
