  • Mission

To bring equity to low-income, underserved youth, of all beliefs, backgrounds and identities, by providing strong, enduring, and professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with caring adult mentor volunteers that inspire youth potential. We believe every child is born with potential and with a mentor they achieve milestones and reach long-term success. We create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our vision is to create a lasting, positive impact on youth by empowering them through mentoring to help them succeed in school and in life.

    About Us

Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters (CBBBS) was founded in 1925 and is a member of the National Big Brothers Big Sisters of America network. As one of the oldest and most respected mentoring organizations in Southern California, CBBBS mentoring programs connect and support screened volunteer mentors and youth relationships. The 1-to-1 match develops between a youth and caring adult in a mentoring setting - this "active ingredient" builds youth self-esteem, nurtures confidence, and improves academic performance.
