The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) offers three different degrees. The Doctor of Education Leadership is a three-year, practice-based program designed to produce system-level leaders in American pre-K-12 education. The Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Ph.D.), offered jointly with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, provides unrestricted access to faculty and resources at all Harvard graduate and professional schools. The Ph.D. in Education has the following concentrations: Culture, Institutions, and Society; Education Policy and Program Evaluation; and Human Development, Learning and Teaching. HGSE also offers thirteen year-long Master of Education (Ed.M.) programs that focus on a range of interests in the field of education, such as School Leadership, Higher Education, Teacher Education or Technology in Education.
