  • About Us

The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) was established in 1966 by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA). It is a 501(c)(3), non-profit educational foundation supported by tax-deductible contributions. It is the only national foundation of its kind solely committed to introducing and engaging professors and college students in the thriving business of direct/interactive marketing. The DMEF’s programs are designed to encourage participation, to equip professors with the most up-to-date educational resources, and to prepare students for a successful career in this rapidly evolving field. To bring direct/interactive marketing instruction to the college campus, attract new talent, and help students learn about direct/interactive marketing career opportunities, the Foundation publishes teaching resources, career information, and the academic research journal, Journal of Interactive Marketing®. The DMEF is located within the DMA headquarters and benefits from a close working relationship with the staff, board and professionals of the DMA and the direct and interactive marketing community.
