EMPOWER GIRLS AS FUTURE  LEADERS

<img height="24" width="200">

Dear Partners,

This year has been a transitional year for Rescue Children Sierra Leone and we want to thank you for your support.

We have made much progress in empowering girls. By expanding from primary to secondary education, we are reaching girls at a pivotal time when many of them drop out of school due to barriers such as early marriage, Ebola ,poor sanitation and gender discrimination.

Our approach encourages whole communities to advocate for girls' right to safe and quality schools. We invite you to give a gift to invest in the future of girls.

RCSL Raises Graduation Rate; More Girls Are Eligible for College

In 2015, RCSL completed its first pilot program in secondary education that reached over 400 girls. Evaluation studies showed that girls who participated in the RCSL program for two years stayed in school longer and scored higher in exams.

A higher percentage of form 3 girls (74% vs. 61%) passed national exams, which resulted in more girls eligible for college.

To expand our work to empower girls and engage supporters of education for girls, we are launching to another Districts and Chiefdoms across Sierra Leone .Our first District was founded in the Northern Province, followed by second Districts  Bombali and Freetown Rural waterloo.
