The Refuge

The Refuge is a faith based evangelistic mission whose greatest desire is to see people break the chains of bondage of addiction in their lives through Jesus Christ our Lord. By sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and the truths in His Word, our prayer is that individuals will find freedom in Christ alone and seek to know God’s amazing purpose for their lives. In turn, they will then be able to help other captives come out of the prison of darkness and into Christ’s glorious light. The Refuge is a place of love, grace, mercy and acceptance. At The Refuge, we understand the raging battle that those in captivity face in their lives and we are there for you for the long haul if you have a desire to surrender it all to God. Our passion is to point people towards a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ with a strong emphasis on discipleship, equipping and building healthy relationships. God loves you and he is for you and not against you! There is an abundant life found only in Him!

The Refuge also has a recovery house for women, and for the time being is only for those that are struggling with substance abuse/addiction problems. The recovery house shelter is located in Deer Park, Texas. The Refuge provides Christian based recovery programs, biblical teaching, life skills classes and much more to help residents become an overcomer through the Lord Jesus Christ.
