    Applewood Centers is a private, non-profit agency which provides counseling and psychiatry services for children and youth from birth to age 21 and their families. Applewood offers many programs to help children and teens who are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, have suffered from trauma or abuse, or are having behavioral difficulties at home or in school. Applewood also has, on staff, full-time child and adolescent psychiatrists and nurses. The agency also operates the Eleanor Gerson School programs, alternative schools for youth who are unsuccessful in standard schools.
