About CAW: Founded in 1977, Californians Against Waste is a statewide environmental advocacy organization that works on policies to prevent waste, conserve resources and prevent pollution. We advocate for policy change at the state and local levels and are the state's leading environmental advocacy group focused on waste reduction and recycling issues. Some of our notable accomplishments include helping to establish the state’s Bottle Bill (CRV program), bringing curbside recycling bins to California homes and businesses, and sponsoring the first-in-the-nation statewide bag ban.
