    Book-It's mission is to transform great literature into great theatre through simple and sensitive production and inspire our audiences to read.

    About Us

    Book-It, the only performing arts organization in the Northwest devoted to adapting literature for the stage, produces 5 fully produced adaptations of literature for the stage each year. Book-It All Over!, our education and outreach program, tours curriculum based stories to schools, libraries and community centers, reaching over 20,000 students a year. The Residency Project, a component of the Book-It All Over! project, conducts 9 week residencies with middle and high school language arts and drama classrooms, leading the students to adapt, direct and perform their own adaptations of stories for their peers.
