  • Mission

    Compound Yellow is an independent, experimental arts space in Oak Park, IL. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) experimental art space with curatorial focus in cultural production, sharing economies, participatory art, and interdisciplinary explorations. Comprised of a group of artists, curators, educators, parents and engaged citizens, Compound Yellow hosts exhibitions, interventions, performances, workshops, lectures, gatherings, and collective imagining. We want to celebrate a culture of sharing, connecting and collective action!

    We continue to work with a long list of collaborators including Regin Igloria, Matthew Nicholas (a co-founder of CY), Lora Lode, (Co-foudner of CY) Andrew Nord, Erik Peterson, Melissa Potter, Alisa Reith, and Ryan Thompson. And we are grateful for the ongoing support of our many interns and volunteers!

    Compound Yellow accepts unsolicited proposals for art and design projects and exhibitions, workshops and educational programming, community activities, and more
