    About Us

South Shore Guidance Center has been a trusted outpatient Mental Health Clinic serving children and families in Nassau County since 1955. Licensed by New York State's Office of Mental Health, we provide compassionate care to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges, fostering healthy emotional growth and effective coping strategies.

Our diverse, bilingual team reflects the multicultural community we serve, offering individual, group, and family psychotherapy; adult and pediatric counseling; school-based support in Freeport, Roosevelt, and Uniondale; home-based crisis intervention; a mobile crisis team; chemical dependency counseling; medication-assisted treatment; and a DWI offenders program.

We are proudly licensed and funded by the Nassau County Department of Mental Health, the New York State Office of Mental Health, and the Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services.
