  • About Us

lowernine.org is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the long-term recovery of New Orleans' historic Lower Ninth Ward from Hurricane Katrina and the ensuing levee breaches of 2005. With skilled supervision, we train volunteers in the skills necessary to rebuild and restore storm-damaged properties. To date, we have completed 75 full rebuilds and completed work on over 200 smaller repair projects bringing home more Lower Ninth Ward residents than any other single organization.
