The Fairbanks House in Dedham, Massachusetts is the oldest timber-framed house in North America. Built in 1637 for Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks who emigrated from England with their six children. The Fairbanks Family in America, Inc. continues to own the homestead and has been operating it as a museum since 1904. It is an exceptional example of first period architecture and represents an important part of American History. It is recognized on the National Register of Historical Places.
