About Us

ICNA Relief seeks to alleviate human suffering by providing caring and compassionate service to victims of adversities and survivors of disasters. ICNA Relief strives to build healthy communities, strengthen families and create opportunities for those in despair while maintaining their dignity and advocating for their basic human needs.

Volunteers from across the country help us accomplish our mission every day. We feel it is our responsibility to support those in need in our country regardless of their race, religion or other identifying features.

We typically serve over 100 families per week at the Chicago Food Pantry location. The population we serve at our varies from newly arrived immigrants, to more established individuals in the community- working with over 14 different nationalities. And now as millions of people continue to face economic hardships due to the covid pandemic, food pantries, including ours, have seen a huge surge in the number of people seeking supplemental food assistance. ICNA Relief has been stepping up our services to address the current challenges that our disadvantaged community members have been facing.
