Nutrition Center of Maine

Lewiston, ME

  • About Us

The Nutrition Center of Maine (NC) was founded by St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center to promote community healthy through organizing, advocacy and education. The NC is founded on the belief that good health relies upon access to healthy, local food. The NC is located in downtown Lewiston Maine, in the midst of the city’s most diverse and economically challenged neighborhoods. The Nutrition Center’s programs provide the tools for participants to find affordable and low-barrier ways to access and cook healthy foods; distribute emergency unprepared food through the Food Pantry; and promote local food through urban food production, neighborhood access points and farmers’ markets.
