Our Mission

Bottom Up Economics seeks to provide a social capital network that will allow those in environments with limited resources to "break the cycle” of poverty. BUE works within these communities showing them how to pool their available resources locally and ultimately internationally to create an environment which is conducive to the growth and development of the youth and alternatives to those with limited opportunities, through collective struggles and sacrifice. BUE seeks a Holistic approach that addresses both the social as well as the economic causes that perpetuate poverty by starting with the Being. Our goal is to create a whole being, one with a sense of identity and purpose that is able to break the cycle of poverty not only for self but for the whole community.
