United Way of Metropolitan Chicago
United Way is Chicagoland’s leading non-governmental supporter of health and human services, answering a range of needs in each local community. From disaster relief, affordable daycare, healthcare access, substance abuse counseling, job training and more. United Way works with community leaders and experts to prioritize needs. Extensive research is done to identify the most critical human care needs in the 238 communities it serves and then funds the programs that best address those needs. United Way helps more than one person, one charity, one issue, or one community and is truly changing the metropolitan landscape for the better.
