Green Door Behavioral Health

Founded in 1976, Green Door Behavioral Health is one of the District’s oldest, largest, and highest rated behavioral health providers.  A 501(c)(3) organization, Green Door Behavioral Health annually helps thousands of individuals as they work to regain control of their lives while recovering from mental illness and substance use disorders.  In addition to community-based psychiatric treatment, Green Door Behavioral Health offers a broad spectrum of rehabilitation, housing, employment and other social supports designed to help people tap the personal resiliency and community resources they need to live rich, full lives despite the challenges of brain-based diseases compounded by the ever-present burdens of poverty and trauma.
