THE LEGAL LANDSCAPE IS CHANGING, and the paralegal profession is still among the fastest growing in America. Over the next five years, paralegal employment is expected to increase much faster than the average for all occupations. We believe the close working relationships among attorneys and paralegals, the rising prestige of the profession, the increase in salaries and paralegals’ growing responsibilities have created a need for more and better-educated professionals.
HOLMES COLLEGE PARALEGAL EDUCATION was founded in 2009 by licensed attorneys. We have only one program, Paralegal Studies. We strive to train and prepare paralegals for the rigors and challenges of law firms, government agencies, corporations and other organizations where paralegals serve, providing positive, while informative paralegal eduction.
Holmes College was named after United States Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes (1841- 1935). Justice Holmes served on the court from 1902 to 1932. Prior to his career in the law, Holmes fought for the Union during the Civil War. Justice Holmes had one of the longest tenures on the court of any justice in American history. Throughout his legal career, Holmes loved the English language and showed his talent for writing. In his honor, the Holmes College curriculum is designed to produce effective paralegals with superlative writing and critical thinking skills.
