Henderson Cats is Henderson's first ever Trap-Neuter-Return(TNR) nonprofit. Our goal is to TNR 1,300 cats in 2025 to help reduce the homeless cat population, reduce shelter intakes, and reduce shelter euthanasias.
A TNVR program allows community cats to live while stopping the breeding process to improve the cat population over time. TNVR is a proven method of reducing the cat population by actively trapping community cats for spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and an ear tip (where the top portion of the ear is clipped while under anesthesia) to indicate their TNVR status. Socialized "tame" cats will be transferred to a shelter or rescue for adoption. Feral cats are returned to the original trap location. TNVR is best implemented through a colony-by-colony approach.
We need volunteers to reach our goal!
