  • About Us

SPIRIT SERIES offers a suite of transformative Social Emotional, arts & literacy curricula for grades four through ten. Our On Stage and On Screen drama-based programing has now served 55,000 pre-teens and adolescents in grades four through seven since we began in 2001, with inspiring one-act historical biographies that students study, co-write, stage and perform. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SERIES has successfully introduced online learning, expanding our offerings with SpiritCorps—a self-discovery and 21st Century video storytelling curriculum for grades seven to ten. Marketed to elementary, middle and high schools, each of these in-school arts & character education programs inspire students to meet the SPIRIT SERIES challenge, as they strive for academic excellence, forge a positive vision for themselves, and begin to become their own heroes.

Committed to equity and inclusion for every student, SPIRIT SERIES has a 20-year history of remarkable outcomes in public, charter, and independent schools from California to Maine, addressing more than 70% of ELA Career and College Ready Standards as well as California Arts Standards and all 5 CASEL Competencies in each grade level we serve. An emergent national organization, the SERIES received a National Endowment for the Humanities award in 2017 and was recently funded by the Maine Department of Education for programming statewide.
