About Us

In the United States, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men will be subjected to domestic violence. On average, someone being abused by their partner will try to leave seven times before finally escaping. Every time they try, they are putting themselves in grave danger. Over 75% of homicides against abuse victims happen after they have left the relationship. A shelter can protect them for a while, but soon the shelter will release them to free up room for the next person in critical danger. Now they are on their own; they have to find a way to survive. Often, they have no place to live, no support from friends or family, no medical care, and they are looking at homelessness, poverty, and even death without the financial support of their abuser. So they go back.

We are a 501c3 charitable organization working with survivors of Intimate Partner Violence (Domestic Violence) throughout Georgia as well as Hamilton and Bradley Counties in Tennessee to recover from the trauma of abuse and build new lives free from abusive relationships. Our mission is empowering survivors of intimate partner violence to lead healthy and successful lives. We pick up where the shelters leave off, providing individualized services and assistance with housing, transportation, education, and medical needs with the goal of getting them on their feet and able to live their own lives.
