Audience

Founded in 2006 by Alexis Bhagat and Lauren Rosati, ((audience)) is dedicated to the advancement of aural arts by providing wide distribution and new contexts for the presentation of works by emerging and established sound artists, musicians, and composers. Cinema for the Ear, our cornerstone program, is a rotating selection of 5.1 surround sound art works presented in movie theaters and organized in partnership with arts organizations worldwide. We develop sustained relationships with the artists we present, supporting them through deep collaboration and continued support. We offer exposure to emerging artists and provide a venue for their work. We rely on co-operative partnerships with other institutions to present and enrich our programs.
