    The mission of Friends of Wingate Park (FOWP) is to contribute to park stewardship and build a stronger community through neighbors working together to beautify and upkeep Wingate Park as a valuable resource. The goals are to serve the educational, social and cultural needs of the community; increase employment opportunities; ensure the empowerment of our youth; to operate sports and gardening programs. FOWP gives youth an outlet to become disciplined leaders by developing sportsmanship and teamwork skills.
