Connected to Christ to Care for Community

As much as we love to claim it as our mission, we didn't come up with it. It's God's mission. Ever since selfishness invaded God's perfect world, it's been His mission to redeem us. Finally, God sent His Son, whose sacrifice for our sins and glorious resurrection has given us forgiveness and new life. We've been Connected to Christ. He is the Head of our lives, but it can't just be for us. We follow Jesus into a new kind of life, with each Heart inspired toward selfless compassion, sacrifice and interdependency. We Care for Community because Christ cared for us first. We reach with Hands wide open to love and care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We look out for each other so that we can better serve our broader community together. With our Feet we travel into the lives of those around us, making friends, building bridges, and caring for the forgotten. Perhaps as we love them, they might see the One who loved them first.
