    About Us

More than 60 years ago, Rev. John R. Glenn and four Ohio Presbyterian churches came together to form Ohio Church Residences with Bristol Village in Waverly, Ohio—the first community built to provide senior housing and supportive care for older adults. Rooted in Christian service and values, this small, faith-driven effort laid the foundation for National Church Residences, now recognized as a nationwide leader in affordable senior housing and services.

Today, National Church Residences serves more than 70,000 older adults, offering affordable senior housing, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and home health services across the country. Guided by a mission to uphold dignity, comfort, and independence, we create communities where seniors can thrive and families can feel peace of mind. Our nationwide network includes the largest team of service coordinators in senior housing, helping residents navigate care with compassion and expertise. Nearly six decades later, National Church Residences continues to expand access, embrace innovation, and remain steadfast in providing faith-inspired, person-centered support for older adults at every stage of life.
