Riverbend has a 30 year legacy of engaging greater Philadelphia in hands-on environment and ecology learning and service projects. Housed in a renovated 1923 Sears barn, Riverbend protects and maintains 35 acres of open space in Lower Merion. Riverbend hosts school field trips from throughout southeast Pennsylvania, and travels to schools and other organizations. Recent awards include "Nonprofit Business of the Year" from the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, "Best of the Main Line" by Main Line Today magazine, "Main Line Treasure" by Main Line Life newspaper, and "Family Favorite" by Parents Express.
