About Us
UWOPED is a women's empowerment organisation that was formed in 2009 with the sole aim of empowering vulnerable young women of different categories like girls who are school dropouts, young single mothers, widows, orphans etc. As an organisation, we came to realise that the only thing needed by these vulnerable young women and mothers was the ability to have skills which they can use to make some money for a living so that they can be in position to take care of themselves and all their dependants. We aim to make sustainable change to the lives of women by making them able to help themselves in a variety of different areas.
