TAIKO COMMUNITY ALLIANCE

Founded in October 2012, the Taiko Community Alliance is made up of a group of recognized taiko leaders representing the geographic and artistic diversity of the community. The TCA is incorporated in the state of California and supports numerous activities and initiatives to enrich and strengthen the taiko community. These may include: sponsoring conferences across the country; hosting visiting taiko artists from Japan for workshops; supporting groups and individual artists in the creation of new taiko pieces; supporting taiko-related research projects; serving as a repository for historical documents and materials; sponsoring individuals to pursue taiko studies in Japan; and other projects that will support the growth and continuity of this artform.
