Imagining America (IA) advances public scholarship on pressing social issues, campus culture change to support civically engaged learning, and regional campus-community organizing through the creative methodologies of the arts, design, and the humanities. As a national consortium of university, college, and community partners, IA connects, convenes, and promotes public scholars, artists, designers, and cultural organizers who harness the power of radical imagination to foster deep human connections and advance a more equitable and thriving democracy. Launched at the University of Michigan in 1999, IA is currently based out of the University of California, Davis.
