At Senior Independence Hospice, we recognize that older adults who are experiencing the last phases of life should not be identified simply in terms of their disease, but as the same person they were before, with a whole new set of issues to confront. And, each one deserves individualized care that puts them and their families in charge. The Senior Independence Hospice Team works together to provide counseling, education and support focusing on giving the patient control in determining their physical, psychological and spiritual needs. In turn, the hospice and family team develop a holistic care plan that includes pain management, symptom control and bereavement support. Our philosophy begins where our heart lie--with the patient and their family.
