    The University of South Florida's bilingual school readiness research lab is directed by Dr. Lisa Lopez. This research lab, housed within the College of Education, focuses it's research on studying the development of school readiness in Latino Dual Language Learners attending preschool programs, primarily Head Start, in the United States. The research lab is home to three active federally-funded projects focused on better understanding the school readiness development of bilingual children, the role of the home and school environments on this development, as well as developing assessments, and studying the efficacy of early childhood curricula on improving this development.
