    About Us

Sai Dham Food Bank is a community-driven organization committed to ensuring that no one in our community goes to bed hungry. For over a decade, we have worked across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area to address food insecurity with compassion, dignity, and inclusivity at the core of everything we do.

Our mission goes beyond providing food, we strive to build a supportive and caring ecosystem where individuals and families feel seen, respected, and empowered. We serve a diverse population, including seniors, persons with disabilities, children, students, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Many of those we support face barriers such as limited mobility, financial hardship, social isolation, or lack of access to essential services.

Through a range of programs, including home-delivered food hampers for seniors, open food markets in underserved neighborhoods, weekly meals for the homeless, and school-based breakfast programs for children, we aim to meet people where they are. Our services are designed not only to address immediate hunger but also to promote long-term well-being, health, and community connection.

At the heart of our work are values of equity, respect, and collaboration. We believe that access to nutritious food is a basic human right, and we are committed to reducing stigma often associated with food assistance. By partnering with local farms, businesses, and community organizations, we also focus on reducing food waste and building a more sustainable food system.

Sai Dham Food Bank continues to grow in response to increasing community needs, guided by a simple but powerful vision: a future where everyone has reliable access to nutritious food and the opportunity to thrive.
