What is the Hospice Philosophy?
Hospice is not “giving up”. Hospice philosophy accepts death as a transition of life by honoring life and shifting the focus from curative to quality of life as we do not hasten or postpone one’s transition. Hospice care focuses on managing a patient’s symptoms while caring for and educating a patient’s family, rather than focusing on the disease itself.
The New Life Hospice multidisciplinary approach strives to provide a family centered, patient-focused experience by providing dignity, quality, and compassionate care. Duly important is honoring and respecting our patient and family wishes concerning the physical as well as the spiritual aspect of the patient. New Life Hospice wishes to give you “the precious gift of time”.
