About Us

Heart & Sole Dance Foundation is a not- for- profit 501 (c) (3) arts-education organization, formed in 2012, to provide a unique opportunity to build positive change in our local community.

Our main focus is reaching children in the Southern Cook and North Eastern Will Counties with the in-school social development program, Dancing Classrooms of Southern Chicago. This program works with 5th & 8th graders to build social awareness, confidence and self-esteem in children through the practice of social dance.

The not-for-profit is the median through which funds will be raised for Dancing Classrooms of Southern Chicago, as well as other related, community charitable opportunities. In addition, the organization will provide scholarships for children in need who wish to continue on with Ballroom Dance.

Mission Through the medium of Ballroom Dance our mission is to cultivate self-respect, creativity, social awareness, teamwork, personal confidence and cultural understanding while providing engaging mental challenges and obvious physical benefits. This process will enrich the lives of the entire community.

HSDF is a fiscally sponsored program by GoodCity Chicago (a 501 3(c) organization) while we wait for the appproval of our not-for-profit status.
