  • Mission

    The mission of the Mental Health Association in Passaic County is to serve children, adults and families affected by mental illness through services including counseling, support services, education, and advocacy. MHAPC is dedicated to increasing public awareness and understanding of mental health issues and enhancing mental health services in Passaic County.

    About Us

    MHAPC was founded in 1980 and has a variety of programs serving individuals with serious mental illness and their families. These programs include an outpatient counseling program, the Consumer Parent Support Network and the Intensive Family Support Program which assists families with a family member with mental illness, and the Involuntary Outpatient Commitment Program which provides case management to individuals with serious mental illness , to maintain stability so that can successfully live in the community. We also have our Community Advocate Program and Peer Outreach Support Team made up of individuals with life experience with mental illness, who serve as mentors to other adults.
