MHAPC was founded in 1980 and has a variety of programs serving individuals with serious mental illness and their families. These programs include an outpatient counseling program, the Consumer Parent Support Network and the Intensive Family Support Program which assists families with a family member with mental illness, and the Involuntary Outpatient Commitment Program which provides case management to individuals with serious mental illness , to maintain stability so that can successfully live in the community. We also have our Community Advocate Program and Peer Outreach Support Team made up of individuals with life experience with mental illness, who serve as mentors to other adults.
