    Camp Opportunity serves children at risk of abuse or neglect in Santa Cruz County. The mission of Camp Opportunity is to improve the health, safety and well-being of our campers and staff, by providing them with opportunities to build healthy relationships and increase their self-esteem in a safe, trauma-informed, stress-free environment.

    About Us

    Our primary volunteer needs are for our summer program. We need 25-35 camp counselors for each of our two one-week sessions to be matched one on one with our campers. We also sometimes have needs throughout the year to help with fundraising and some administrative activities. Our main need, however, is staffing for our summer program.
