Learning is a life-long process nurtured through an education that is inspirational in nature, holistic in perspective, global in context and responsible in practice.   We are committed to developing balanced global citizens who are empowered to act responsibly in a complex world.

We believe that education needs to be inclusive and strive to provide holistic learning which encompasses the development of social, emotional, cognitive and physical dispositions.  Learning which explores the links between different subjects and connects experiences within and outside the classroom. 

We also believe that education in a global context promotes an appreciation and understanding of multiple perspectives and interdependence of individuals, societies and environments.  We aim to provide scholarships to Tanzanian students who would not otherwise be able to access the school.  ISM is actively involved in over 30 community programmes in the Moshi area and all our students take part in the projects on a regular basis throughout the year.
