    About Us

Hope Floats Healing & Wellness Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bereavement and educational center in Kingston, Massachusetts. Founded in 2008 by Denise and Ken Brack after the loss of their son, Hope Floats provides free grief support to adults, children, teens, and families facing death, illness, or other life challenges. Programs include bi-weekly Mike’s Club groups for children and caregivers, HEART (school-based grief education and crisis response), Family Nights, summer camps, and community outings that engage whole families in therapeutic art, music, and nature-based activities. Hope Floats also offers adult bereavement groups, holistic retreats, mindfulness workshops, and sliding-scale counseling. Educator, clinician, and community responder trainings expand regional grief literacy and help ensure early, compassionate intervention. In 2024, Hope Floats served more than 1,300 individuals across 25+ cities and towns in Southeastern Massachusetts and Greater Boston, with a focus on underserved and financially disadvantaged families.
