    The Sierra Club Seal Society of San Diego, was created to preserve the Harbor Seal rookery located at Casa Beach in La Jolla, Ca for ecological, educational, scientific, historic and scenic opportunities. The Seal Society administers a volunteer docent program which provides environmental education for the public and promotes safe viewing of harbor seals and sea lions along the coast of Southern California.     About Us

    The Sierra Club Seal Society of San Diego, a non-profit all-volunteer organization, was established in May 1999. Its specific purposes are the preservation of the La Jolla Harbor seal and sea lion colonies for ecological, educational, scientific, historic and scenic opportunities. These are accomplished through a volunteer Naturalist-Docent Program which provides environmental education for the public and promotes safe viewing of harbor seals and sea lions.
