Green Growth Knowledge Platform

About Us

The Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) was launched in January 2012 as a global network of researchers and development experts to identify and address major knowledge gaps in green growth theory and practice. Through widespread consultation and world-class research, GGKP provides practitioners and policymakers with better tools to foster economic growth and implement sustainable development. We emphasize a practical orientation for research and insist that the best policy can only emerge from close collaboration among scholars, practitioners, and policy makers. GGKP's mission is to enhance and expand efforts to identify and address major knowledge gaps in green growth theory and practice, and to help countries design and implement policies to move towards a green economy.

GGKP embodies a groundbreaking partnership between the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the World Bank. These four organizations make up the GGKP Council, which provides strategic direction and oversight for the initiative.
