    Special Olympics Tennessee provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

    Special Olympics Tennessee is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training, athletic competition, and health and leadership programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through the power of sports and inclusion, SOTN helps athletes build confidence, develop physical fitness, and find joy through community and competition.

    Serving thousands of athletes across the state, SOTN offers opportunities in more than 16 Olympic-style sports, as well as programs that promote fitness, health screenings, education, and youth leadership.

    Our mission is to create a world of inclusion and acceptance, on and off the field, where every person is seen, respected, and celebrated.
