About Us

Small World Music Society, a not-for-profit organization, presented its first event in 1997. Since then, over 200 presentations have solidified its reputation as Toronto’s most adventurous and visionary world music concert presenter.

The Small World concert experience ranges from international world music giants showcased in Toronto’s grandest venues, to emerging local artists performing in intimate neighbourhood club settings. Supported in part by funding from three levels of government, we present roughly 50 concerts annually, with the annual Small World Music Festival being one of the highlights of Toronto’s busy fall arts calendar.

Small World’s founder and executive director, Alan Davis leads a dedicated, passionate and fast-growing team that works to enhance Small World’s programming, promotion and community outreach, using the power of music to build bridges between cultures.
