Woodlawn Estate & Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House, National Trust for Historic Preservation

  • About Us

Woodlawn Estate & Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House are historic sites of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Alexandria, Virginia. The Trust is a privately funded nonprofit organization that works to save America's historic places. We strive to inspire Americans to save the places where history happened. Woodlawn is actually the first historic site acquired by the National Trust in 1951. Our individual mission is to interpret the stories of both Woodlawn and Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House through special events, educational programming and tours. We also have an innovative partnership with Arcadia Center for Food and Sustainable Agriculture, which seeks to promote local food and healthy food access to everyone.
