    About Us

    PADS of Elgin is a not for profit organization founded in 1989 in Elgin, IL as a response to the homeless population in the Elgin area. PADS currently provides permanent shelter 365 days a year from 7am to 7pm to homeless women, men and children in the Elgin area. The PADS shelter and offices are located at 1730 Berkley Street. The shelter opens each night to provide safe shelter, hot meal, shower/laundry facilities as well as comprehensive case management services during the day and night.
