About Us
Inter Tribal Sports began in southern California in the Fall of 2002 when representatives from Viejas, Barona, and SCTCA's North County Community Resource Center recognized a need for an organized, semi-competitive youth sports league. Since 2002, Inter Tribal Sports, or ITS, has unified our communities and helped remind us of what we must value most in life. By promoting health, unity, and individual growth, ITS has enriched our youth and our communities.
The organization features year-round sports and enrichment programs designed specifically for the Native American communities. Featured sports include basketball, softball, flag football and soccer. In addition to sports leagues, ITS offers cultural gatherings, educational outings, and leadership training.
